Building the Foundation for Personal Success
At Hammersmith Academy, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is a statutory part of the curriculum and is delivered in line with Department for Education guidance. We believe that preparing young people for real world success means helping them develop the knowledge, confidence and judgement to build healthy relationships, make informed decisions and contribute positively to society.
Our RSE curriculum forms an important part of our wider Personal Development programme. Through age-appropriate learning, students explore topics including relationships, wellbeing, online safety, equality, consent and personal health. The curriculum is carefully sequenced so that students revisit key themes throughout their time at the Academy, building understanding and maturity as they progress.
RSE supports our commitment to developing responsible, resilient, resourceful and respectful young people who are equipped to navigate the opportunities and challenges of modern life, while ensuring that we meet our statutory responsibility to provide high-quality Relationships and Sex Education for all students.
