High-quality careers guidance helps young people make informed choices about their futures, so they can develop their interests and potential, and follow the path that is right for them to progress into work. It also helps break down barriers to opportunity and improve skills needed for success in work.
This dedicated investment in future pathways reflects our deep commitment to our students’ long-term success and sets us apart from many other schools.
Early Careers Education Starts from Year 7
Future ambition starts early at the Academy. From Year 7, our students take part in a structured programme of careers and inspiration sessions, designed to connect learning with life beyond the classroom, and the focus on future careers continues throughout their time at the Academy.
Through events such as our Careers Awareness Day, students meet alumni and professionals from industries including law, finance, STEM, engineering, medicine, and the creative industries, gaining first-hand insight into the breadth of opportunities available.
These early experiences help build cultural capital, spark curiosity, and encourage students to imagine futures they may never have considered.
Supporting Personal Ambition and Goals
Our Careers Team works closely with every student to provide tailored advice, mentoring and professional Level 6 one-to-one guidance.
Whether a student’s goal is to attend a top university, secure an apprenticeship, or gain direct entry into employment, we ensure they are prepared, confident, and informed every step of the way.
This bespoke support includes expert UCAS preparation, CV and interview workshops, and meaningful encounters with employers, ensuring that every pathway is open and achievable.
