Developing Confidence, Character and Curiosity for Real World Success
Extra-Curricular & Cultural Offering
At Hammersmith Academy, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
From Year 7 onwards, every student takes part in a wide range of extra-curricular and cultural experiences designed to broaden horizons, build confidence, and develop the life skills that last a lifetime. Our enrichment philosophy is simple: education should prepare young people not only for exams, but for life.
Through clubs, activities, partnerships and experiences, students learn teamwork, leadership, creativity and adaptability – the skills that empower them to succeed wherever their future takes them.
Session 3: Our Extra-Curricular Clubs
Our Session 3 programme transforms the Academy into a hub of creativity and collaboration every afternoon.
With more than 30 clubs and activities to choose from, students are encouraged to pursue passions, explore new interests, and grow in confidence.
Popular clubs include:
Science Club | Coding | Drama | Chess | Debate | Young Enterprise | MedSoc | Further Maths | Film | Football | Netball | Cricket | Choir | Rock Band | Gardening | Latin Flamenco Dance | Tech Club | Dungeons & Dragons | Craft Club | Book Club – just to name a few!

Cultural Enrichment: Expanding Horizons
Alongside our extra-curricular clubs, our Cultural Enrichment Programme gives students access to experiences that connect learning to the wider world.
Through an unrivalled network of partnerships with some of the UK’s most respected institutions and organisations, students gain the kind of cultural exposure few schools can offer.
“Ofsted Report 2026These enrichment activities develop pupils’ talents and prepare them for their future lives.
These partnerships provide extraordinary opportunities to explore art, science, sustainability, adventure and heritage in authentic settings – from photographing at Kensington Palace to environmental projects with the Mayor’s Fund for London or expeditions with the British Exploring Society.
Each experience builds cultural understanding, curiosity and confidence – qualities that prepare students to thrive personally and professionally.
