Developing Confidence, Character and Curiosity for Real World Success
Extra-Curricular Opportunities
Hammersmith Academy Sixth Form students enjoy a wealth of extra-curricular, cultural, and professional experiences designed to develop confidence, leadership, and the skills that lead to real world success.
Whether you’re a future medic, engineer, or fashion photographer, our Sixth Form provides the challenge, community, and opportunity to help you achieve your goals.
The HA Insight Programme
The HA Insight Programme is a cornerstone of Sixth Form life at Hammersmith Academy, bringing leading voices from business, academia, the arts and public life into the Academy each week.
Students engage with talks on topics such as entertainment law, investigative journalism, climate change, economics and careers in film and TV, gaining insight into the ideas and industries shaping the modern world.
The impact goes beyond the talks, with many students securing apprenticeships, work experience and mentoring opportunities through connections with visiting speakers.
Through this programme, students develop confidence, communication skills and initiative, preparing them to succeed in university, apprenticeships and beyond.
Outstanding Partnerships
Our enrichment offer is powered by exclusive partnerships that provide students with access to world-class institutions, professionals, and creative spaces that few Sixth Forms can match.
Kensington Palace Partnership
We are one of only two secondary schools in the UK to hold a formal partnership with Kensington Palace. This unique collaboration opens up the Palace as both a learning environment and cultural resource, giving students unprecedented access to one of the nation’s most historic sites.
The partnership is designed to enrich students academically and culturally, providing inspiration across disciplines – from history and politics to art, photography, and design. Our Sixth Form photography students, for example, have used Kensington Palace as a backdrop for their portfolios, capturing images in areas normally closed to the public. Experiences like these encourage students to see their subjects through new perspectives and to connect their learning to the wider world around them.
Motorsport UK
Opening doors to STEM careers and real-world industry experience. Students have even been inspired by a day working with engineers at Williams F1, spent time with Mercedes at Goodwood and even invited to Number 10 Downing Street for the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 as part of the Race for Diversity initiative.

St Paul’s Boys School and St Paul’s Girls’ School
Our independent school partners deliver academic masterclasses, our UCAS personal statement clinic, Oxbridge workshops, and mentoring and interview practice for our most ambitious students.
Long-term business relationships
We have built excellent partnerships with local business and universities that are career gold-dust for our students, offering them multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work and the skills that are valued in the workplace. These relationships yield annual work experience placements, mentoring, insight visits, and regular support for our careers fairs and speaker events.
From cultural visits to sporting fixtures, seminars, and workshops at London’s leading venues, our students are constantly encouraged to step into new spaces and expand their horizons.
