Going the Extra Mile
At Hammersmith Academy, careers guidance is not an add-on – it’s a central pillar of our Sixth Form experience.
We take our responsibility seriously, ensuring that students don’t just leave with qualifications, but with the direction, confidence and independence to succeed wherever their aspirations take them.
“Department for Education Statutory Guidance May 2025Good careers education and guidance can result in better attainment, engagement and outcomes for learners, particularly young people from low socio-economic backgrounds. Young people in schools and colleges with the highest quality careers provision are 8% less likely to be not in education, employment or training.
Our Careers and UCAS Team continue to provide support throughout the application process – reviewing personal statements, conducting mock interviews, bringing in expert external guidance and helping students navigate offers and apprenticeships.
This commitment means our students consistently progress to exceptional destinations – from top-tier universities to competitive degree apprenticeships with leading employers such as L’Oréal, National Highways, and BlackRock.
